Are you scoping out your options when it comes to floor plan ideas? Arden Homes offers various floor plan designs, each carefully curated by a team of experts who count on feedback from customers like you.
We recommend using our interactive floor plan tool to find the right floor plan design for you or get different floor plan ideas. This will allow you to explore our various floor plans to see what your home would look like when adding a bedroom or bathroom, and even with a different exterior of your dream home.
In this article, we’ll talk you through how to select a community, use our interactive floor plan tool, and offer advice on picking a floor plan idea that will work for you.
To get a better idea of your floor plan design options, we recommend starting the process by selecting a metro area. Here, you’ll be asked to pick a community or metro area. But, of course, if your goal is to browse different floor plan ideas, you can select our floor plans to view the various designs offered. If you have a specific area in mind, start by choosing that area. Don’t worry; you will have more than one floor plan design to choose from once you select a community.
Once you’ve picked a metro area, a list of available Arden Homes communities will display for the area. You’ll find several options in some areas, while there might only be one or two in others. The majority of our communities also offer multiple floor plan designs, so you’ll still have plenty of floor plan ideas to get inspired. While the majority of our communities offer interactive floor plans or interactive site maps, there could be a few that don’t. Don’t worry. Just pick a different community for now to give you a good idea of how some of our homes are designed.
From the community page, you’ll have the opportunity to explore at least a few home designs. First, pick the floor plan design that sounds best to you—based on the number of bathrooms or bedrooms or the amount of square footage. Then, to explain things better, we’ll look at the Cottage Hill Community, located in the Winston-Salem area.
Cottage Hill offers six different home designs, but we’ll look at the first one called Sherwood. Getting floor plan ideas from our interactive tool allows you to start understanding the level of personalization when building a new home with Arden Homes. For example, in our Sherwood floor plan, you can add a third bedroom on the first floor or a fourth bedroom and a third bathroom on the second floor. If you don’t like how your floor plan design flow, you can deselect the option.
Our interactive floor plan tool is a fantastic way to decide which floor plan design features are most important to you. For example, would you rather have a large dining room or a fifth bedroom? Will a bump-out fireplace improve the overall flow of an open floor plan? Another great tool is that once you pick a floor plan you like, you can use our furniture planner to help decide which furniture ideas work best with your floor plan design.
